A ZCP is a zone control panel  affectionately known in industry as a "boiler room in a box."

We like to think of them as tools and timeless objects.

ZCP's are manufactured like most other electromechanical devices used in the home or office.  Rather than regulating water and refrigerant to keep food frozen or clothes clean, ZCP's regulate fuel and power consumption in the process of moving fluid between your clients boiler or chiller and their heat terminal units such as fan/coils, baseboard, snow melting systems or radiant heating and cooling systems.

ZCP's are engineered by in-house professionals uniting technological advances in fluid based HVAC controls.

ZCP's are characterized by simplicity, balance and familiarity of form remaining largely unchanged since their creation.

ZCP's are fabricated to North American electrical and mechanical standards in a cETLus regulated facility.

Why a ZCP or "Boiler Room in a Box"?

If you asked a 1,000 consumers what a boiler room looks like you would get answers like, "science experiment" or "beast in the boiler room." In fact very few clients would describe the pipes and stuff as simple or aesthetically pleasing. The majority of home owners are not engineers or technicians but are required to own, operate and eventually sell something which is described as technical, scientific, beastly, complicated and ugly. Ouch! If you were a bank teller, teacher, receptionist what would you prefer? That's why manufactures of fridges, stoves, and washing machines put electromechanical equipment in a box. Makes sense doesn't it. We think so too that's why years ago we created the ZCP for heating and cooling systems and why industry is using the product to reduce the perception of complexity in the eyes of the non technical client.  Let our heritage in HVAC controls help you meet your clients needs.

The thought that changed our idea about how to do to hydronics...If we could divorce the function from a thing... could we think about how to deliver the function in radically different ways?

Are ZCP's for you?

We have one question...if you as an industry professional were not around to advise your mom, wife or daughter on what type of control system to buy for their radiant heated retirement home, what would you want them to have, knowing professionals like you are quickly disappearing from the business? You want them to be comfortable right? You don't want them having to deal with custom stuff at -40 deg F right? Consider these points:

  • ZCP clients repeatedly agree that ZCP's are great looking heating control appliances which improve their home fuel efficiency, comfort effectiveness and turn their boiler room into a simple and easy to show room. Why is this important for consumers?

  • Six years of North American field research on over 8000 installed units reveal ZCP's reduce contractor installation times by 60%, control wiring by 40% and start up and commissioning times by 20%. Why is this important?

  • Green and LEED certified professional engineers, architects and interior designers appreciate the frugal beauty of hand crafted and certified ZCP's. Learn more.
